Janisse Ray presents Wild Spectacle

First Baptist Church Decatur & Online

November 4, 2021, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET

Join the Georgia Center for the Book, Read SC - The South Carolina Center for the Book, and Charis Books & More for an evening with beloved Georgia author Janisse Ray in conversation with Jessica Handler as part of the Conversations Series at First Baptist Church Decatur. The bestselling author of Ecology of a Cracker Childhood is back with a new memoir, Wild Spectacle, which explores the wild earth and invites us to question its known and unknown beauties and curiosities. This event is free and open to the public, but you should register on Eventbrite to guarantee a seat here. On Eventbrite, you can also pre-purchase a signed copy of Janisse’s book from Charis Books & More, and sign up to receive a link to stream the event virtually as well. There is limited capacity in the venue; due to COVID-19 protocols, we are capping attendance at 350. If you pre-purchase a book, please arrive early to ensure a good seat (doors open at 6:15 p.m. ET). Masks are required inside the church, and we will be checking vaccination cards (an image of your card will work). If you’ve misplaced your vaccination card, we will accept a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the event and be prepared to sign a vaccine attestation form. Learn more on Eventbrite.
