Carmen Deedy & John McCutcheon

First Baptist Church, Decatur

December 3, 2012, 7 P.M.

Join us for a special evening of storytelling and music to benefit the DeKalb Library Foundation and the Global Village Project at First Baptist Church Decatur. Carmen’s delightful books, including Return of the Library Dragon and 14 Cows for America, have won her fans all over the world. John is one of folk music’s greatest living storytellers and instrumentalists with more than 20 albums and thousands of in-person performances, not to mention being an author. There are no tickets for this event, but we hope you’ll join us and make a generous contribution to help the DeKalb Library Foundation, which raises funds to help buy books and support programs at the DeKalb County Public Library, and the Global Village Project, which helps teenage survivors of war acquire the education necessary to succeed in life and to fulfill their dreams. GVP serves the special needs of refugee girls who have little or no English language education and/or interrupted formal education. Mark this date on your calendar; it will be a terrific program for the entire family!
