Khaled Hosseini

First Baptist Church, Decatur

June 13, 2013, 7:00 P.M.

We are honored to present a special appearance by the noted author Khaled Hosseini with his eagerly anticipated new book, And the Mountains Echoed, an emotionally complex and powerful novel about how we love and the choices we make. Hosseini, of course, is the author of the international bestsellers ”The Kite Runner” and ”A Thousand Splendid Suns.” He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and moved to the United States in 1980. He was recently named a goodwill envoy to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency. He lives in northern California. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and seating will be based on a first-come, first-seated basis. Once capacity is reached for the sanctuary no other attendees will be permitted entry. The lecture is free and open to the public, however, to keep the signing orderly you must purchase at least one copy of the new book at the event to obtain entry into the signing line. Due to the expected attendance at this event, Mr. Hosseini will not be able to personalize books.
