Please welcome us for an evening of poetry as we welcome Georgia poets William Walsh and Julie Bloemeke back to the Georgia Center for the Book stage. For this special event, William Walsh will debut his newest collection of poetry, Lost in the White Ruins. He is also the author of Speak So I Shall Know Thee: Interviews with Southern Authors, The Ordinary Life of a Sculptor, The Conscience of My Other Being, the editor of Under the Rock Umbrella: Contemporary Poets from 1951-1977, and has published in Five Points, North American Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, The Kenyon Review, Verse, Poets & Writers, AWP Chronicle, Kestrel, and others. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Julie E. Bloemeke is currently working on her first book of poetry. A 2012 and 2014 fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and a graduate of the Bennington Writing Seminars, her work has most recently appeared, or is forthcoming, in various publications including The Raven Chronicles, Chautauqua Literary Journal, Drunken Boat, Poet Lore, and Deep South Magazine.
