Author Events

Our events are free and open to the pub­lic. Free reg­is­tra­tion is required or request­ed, depend­ing on the event. We are using a new sys­tem, Afton Tick­ets, to house our tick­et­ing, one that is still evolv­ing. For now, please click Buy tick­ets” to read more details about our events, and know that you will not be charged any­thing if you decide to reg­is­ter. Most part­ner events will still send you to Eventbrite.

In the Fourth Floor Gallery 

Vis­it the Fourth Floor Gallery in the Decatur library dur­ing gallery hours for a range of shows through­out the year. Next on dis­play is the 2025 Fine Arts Exhi­bi­tion, with the theme Cat & Mouse, which will be open May 2nd — June 13th, 2025. Gallery Hours are Thurs­day — Sat­ur­day, 1 — 5 pm, with spe­cial hours dur­ing the Decatur Arts Fes­ti­val. Learn more at here.

The gallery will also be open dur­ing Decatur Art Walk on May 2nd (part of the Decatur Arts Fes­ti­val), from 6:30 — 9:30 pm, and then again for a clos­ing recep­tion on June 13th, from 6:30 — 9:00 pm.

Com­ing Soon to the Fourth Floor Gallery

Join us soon in the Fourth Floor Gallery in the Decatur library for the first annu­al HOME Exhi­bi­tion: Gim­mie Shel­ter — Redefin­ing and Reimag­in­ing the Place We Call Home,’ pre­sent­ed by the Decatur Arts Alliance, the Decatur Land Trust, the Geor­gia Cen­ter for the Book, and the Decatur Library. This exhi­bi­tion will run from July 11 — August 16, 2025, with an Open­ing Recep­tion on the evening of July 10th.

This is a juried mul­ti­me­dia show­case that will be installed in the Fourth Floor Gallery of the Decatur Library. Learn more here.
