Charis and the Georgia Center for the Book welcome V.E. Schwab and Mark Oshiro for a celebration of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue at the First Baptist Church of Decatur.

V.E. Schwab will be pre-signing, speaking, and reading. Copies of the paperback edition of THE INVISIBLE LIFE OF ADDIE LARUE will be pre-signed and stamped with a tour exclusive custom image. In lieu of a post-event signing line, there will be a longer Q&A session.

About the book: Now in paperback! In the vein of The Time Traveler’s Wife and Life After Life, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is New York Times bestselling author V. E. Schwab’s genre-defying tour de force. In France, 1714: in a moment of desperation, a young woman makes a Faustian bargain to live forever—and is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets. Thus begins the extraordinary life of Addie LaRue, and a dazzling adventure that will play out across centuries and continents, across history and art, as a young woman learns how far she will go to leave her mark on the world. But everything changes when, after nearly 300 years, Addie stumbles across a young man in a hidden bookstore and he remembers her name.

About V.E. Schwab: VICTORIA “V.E.” SCHWAB is the #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author of more than a dozen books, including the acclaimed novel THE INVISIBLE LIFE OF ADDIE LARUE, the Shades of Magic series, Villains series, THIS SAVAGE SONG, and OUR DARK DUET. Her work has received critical acclaim, been featured in the NEW YORK TIMES, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, WASHINGTON POST and more, translated into more than a dozen languages, and has been optioned for television and film. When she’s not haunting Paris streets or trudging up English hillsides, she lives in Edinburgh, Scotland and is usually tucked in the corner of a coffee shop, dreaming up monsters.

About Mark Oshiro: Mark Oshiro (they/them) is the award-winning author of the young adult books ANGER IS A GIFT (2019 Schneider Family Book Award), EACH OF US A DESERT, and INTO THE LIGHT, as well as their middle grade books THE INSIDERS, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE, DAVID BRAVO, and STAR WARS HUNTERS: BATTLE FOR THE ARENA. They are also the co-author (with Rick Riordan) of THE SUN AND THE STAR: A NICO DI ANGELO ADVENTURE. When not writing, they are trying to pet every dog in the world.

All attendees must register for the event. You may choose a free ticket without a book, a single signed book ticket which will just include V.E. Schwab's signature, or a personalized book ticket which will include V.E. Schwab's signature and your name. If you select the personalized option you must include your information (name), otherwise we will default to a plain signed book ticket. V.E. Schwab will be pre-signing paperback copies of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue only.

If you choose the book with ticket option, you will bring your ticket with you to pick up your copy of the book at the church on the night of the event. All books not picked up at the event on 4/19 will be available for pickup at Charis Books and More (184 S. Candler St, Decatur) for an additional 2 weeks.
